Guest guest
Pat, I have had problems with just about every type pain med making me itch at times. I can take the same med without problems one day and then have problems with itching from it the next. I used to take benadryl with the pain med if I was having problems with itching from it. I have lots of problems with itching now, but it is hard to know if it is the pain meds or the liver disease. Some of my worst itching episodes are on days when I haven't had that much pain med. I have prescription strength atarax, which works much better than bendaryl. Maybe you could ask your doc to give you a prescription for atarax.
