Guest guest
Has anyone tried GRAPEFRUIT SEED OIL? Here's a link to read some information about it. It's not GRAPE SEED, but GRAPEFRUIT SEED.......... http://www.pureliquidgold.com/ I have ordered some and heard good things about it for the skin. Post if anyone has tried or is using this. Guest guest
From what I understand, grapefruit seed extract helps to eliminate candida when taken internally. I don't know if you're planning to use it directly on your skin, but if so I'd be very very careful... the bottle I have says: " Do not use full strength in mouth, nose, ears or other sensitive areas. Undiluted concentrate is severely irritating to mucous membranes and can irritate skin. " I take that to mean that even diluted, it could cause something nasty to happen to sensitive rosacea skin. When I've taken it internally, I didn't see any change in my rosacea. HTH! Shirley Tammy Elliott wrote: Has anyone tried GRAPEFRUIT SEED OIL? Here's a link to read some information about it. Guest guest
Tammy I've been using it for a few weeks, I add a drop to my facial cleanser and shower gel. It's not doing anthing for the rosacea flush, but my skin feels less itchy and there are no papules now. I have rosacea/pityrosporum folliculitis mixed picture and some seb derm thrown in for good measure, I believe the latter are improving from using the grapefruit seed extract (not oil). The p.f. does seem to be improving. Time will tell. I'm also using it in my shampoo and as a scalp treatment. I have tried it undiluted and it stings - I know it says not to do so!
