Now this is not a joke, but > truly what I find works for me. I take a couple of chewably gas- x's. Then I get on my bed on my hands and knees and slowly lower my head and chest until they rest on the bed. This puts your rear end hilariously up in the air. I rock back and forth and side to side for as long as it takes to get the gas moving on out. Now isn't this the kind of advice you can't get at Web MD sites?? And if it doesn't work > for you, what have you lost? I have to add this is the kind of thing you want to try alone, otherwise you and your audience may end up laughing to hard to accomplish anything. > > > > Keri, I've been doing the same thing for many years, but without the Gas-X. When I started practicing Yoga, I found that a similar position is called " Child's Pose " . You start from being on hands and knees on the floor. You lower the buttocks to the heels, the arms are stretched forward, the chest & head lower, and the belly rests in a space between the bent knees or on the knees. It looks similar to the prayer position used by Moslems. During Yoga classes, its fairly common to hear people pass gas while moving into and out of the posture. (I've also seen references to this posture as " wind relieving posture.) I wonder if pancreatic or other abdominal problems were the stimulus for this pose .... :-) Have a good day, jang
