Guest guest
My family will be taking a vacation from July 28th to August 8th, to Montana to see my husbands family, unbelievably it is not something that a year ago we could of even imagined. As most of you know Brandans Grandmother, battled cancer many years along side of him battling pancreatitis, being caregiver to both was truly a challenge but one that I would not have changed for the world. My mom succumbed to cancer in Feb last year, I believe she has worked as an angel in my life above along with the many here to give our son his second chance. My husband was diagnosed with cancer two months after Brandans surgery and I am so very happy to say although he lives with a colostomy, it is a small price to pay considering the alternatives. Recently he was given a clean bill of health and his chemo port removed. For my family it truly has been many years of uncertain challenges but we made it through with the help of many angels and a special one above, and as always we will continue to take things " A DAY AT A TIME. " My deepest gratitude to all here who have been by our sides, for without you all Brandans second change would of remained just a dream. It was from you all that I drew my strength these last few years and where I got my saying even still when people ask me how I have done it.. " There are people out there alot worse off than I am " and we will continue like we have to " TAKE THINGS ONE DAY AT A TIME " for its all any of us can do. I will be returning on the 8th of August, if anyone needs to speak with me. As always keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers...Keep smiling( cuz sometimes its all one can do!) ...TTFN... : ) Peg Bates Brwnbare9@... Massachusetts State Chapter Rep.
