Staci,

You said, " I take 75  Fentanyl patch + 40 Oxycontin pill (They took me off of

the Oxycodone -- spasms?) " that is confusing that the Oxycontin doesn't cause

you spasms and the Oxycodone does, because they are the same medication, the

Oxycontin is just time released. I take two 80 mg Oxycontin twice a day and

three 100mcg Fentanyl Patches, and 1600mcg ACTIQ, among other things. I also

take the Oxycodone for breakthrough pain. Fentanyl actually is the best pain

management medication for me. Like most people, the patches cause skin

irritation

after a while. I usually have to change sites every two days, and then rotate

off of the for a while when the irritation gets too bad. You also said, " and I

also feel like I cannot bend over as well. " I feel the same way. I have

severe pain in my joints, which makes bending or stooping difficult and painful.

Have you tried Oxyfast? It is also the same as Oxycontin, but a fast acting

liquid for break through pain. I find that it eats at the enamel of my teeth,

though I used it for two years without any problem.

Pain management is a lot of trial and error. I also found that I need two

programs that I rotate, so I can avoid going up on the dosages and amounts of

the

medications.
