Re: new to list

Just to let you know, the Scandishakes have 600 calories when mixed with

8

oz. of whole milk, not nonfat or lowfat, but whole milk. Which is

exactly

what our kids need for weight gain and nutrition.

Hello ,

The company that makes the Scandishake is called Axcan Scandipharm. They

also make ADEK's vitamins, which are the fat soluble vitamins for cf'ers.

They also manufacture Ultrase enzymes.

We are on their program, I forget the name of it, but it works like this:

Nick is on the Ultrase MT-18's, so He gets the ADEK's vitamins free as well

as a free case of Scandishake every month. I will give you the correct

website for them, but also visit the CF Services Pharmacy, which is

associated with the CF Foundation, and they may be able to sign you up. we

get all of our meds through CF Services as they are much less expensive than

the local pharmacy and they always have the meds in stock, and they ship it

to you now, and worry about insurance later. Which is very , very nice for

our kids not to have to wait to get enzymes, albuterol, DNAse, TOBI, etc...

Here is the website for scandipharm:

I hope this helps you and anyone else who would like to try the shakes and

vitamins.

Oh, by the way, the shakes come in chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla

flavors. They are available sugar-free for those with diabetes, and also

available lactose-free.

best Wishes to all,

Amber

First off, They don't make them, they have someone else does them to

their order. It is private labeled . Globe does the ULTRASE & also

LIPRAM (generic enzymes) .

The CF Services no longer facilitates the Comprehensive Care Program

either, it is done now by McKesson directly, ask your clinic for forms.

directly ..

All folks who were in the program , received letters of the change.

NOW you buy your enzymes wherever you want & send your proof of

purchase to McKesson & they send out your FREEBEES......we do that as

well,

We use to just send the list of folks & they didn't have to send in P of

P themselves.

-Now-they wont allow that , patients have to send it in themselves..

It is sure a great program to get anything for free.

We also give for ALL purchases of enzymes here......1 bottle of ADEk

with all enzymes. We refer those on ULTRASE to their CC program. It just

didn't seem fair

if you or your child , didn't take their enzyme, then you had to pay

for ADEk.soooo

we started our own ADEK Special Program. :):)

Just wanted to clear that ., so folks knew thry could get from anywhere

their insurance allowed. Some folks miss out on things like that as

their payor wont let them go there...really NOT A GOOD INS.

POLICY!!....... Have a great day..........

LOVE & HUGS,
