Guest guest
, Good for you!!! We have talked before as I live in Dayton. I have seen Dr. Fogle in Indiana and he was first doc to diagnose my pancreatitis through ERCP. I work as a medical transcriptionist, but over the last couple months I am realizing I think I may need to explore medical disability. I am only 33 years old and have two boys (4 and 6). Taking care of the household and my kids is as much as I can handle (most days I can't even handle that, cleaning, etc. goes undone for weeks). I have been in tears all week as I have had a bad flare up and just can't get through the day. I am in tears by the time my husband gets home because literally walking across the floor is a challenge. Back to your SSI, I am very glad for you. I keep wondering, " what if I don't qualify? " I have documented CP, SOD, and hypertriglyceridemia (last lab work about 6 weeks ago my triglycerides were 791!). I would hope that this would be enough to qualify. What do you think? What does anyone else think who might be reading this? I do have one question that I don't seem to understand. I have been told that you have to go 5 months without work or 5 months from the time you quit working or are unable to work. Say for instance that my doc says I have been " disabled " since the time my CP diagnosis was made by ERCP, but I have been working all this time, would my 5 months be considered during this time as it would be over 1 year, technically, at this point. Thanks for listening and again, good for you. Talk to you soon. T. (Dayton, Ohio)
