Dr. Sutherland is the head surgeon and he performs the pancreas transplant all of the time. Fairview is a great hospital. I had my pancreas removed and my spleen removed and the islet from my pancreas transplanted into my liver. I suggest you either call Dr. Sutherland or e-mail him and ask him the questions that you have about the bowel and pancreas transplant. I know that he would help you. If they don't do the bowel surgery there with the pancreas he would know what hospital and surgeon would be the best for that surgery. Dr. Sutherland, Department of Surgery, Box 280, 420 Delaware Street S.E., Minneapolis, MN 55455 Telephone number (612)625-7600 Dr. Sutherland's e-mail address DSuther@... Http://www.Diabetesinstitute.org
