Guest guest
Hi all, I was wondering about what anyone knows about hereditary pancreatitis. My grandfather died at age 53 from pancreatitis cancer. he was an alcoholic, but we don't know if this was an underlying problem. also, my grandmother had " stomach problems " all her life. she would not even leave her house most of the time beause of it. She definitely wouldn't go anywhere until late afternoon because she battled diarrhea all morning long. I have had " stomach problems " all my life. I am 33 years old. I remember back to grade school always have " stomach aches " and severe diarrhea and nausea. If I would eat " too much " I would double over with pain and feel very sick. My oldest son, who is only 6, seems to mimic my stomach problems and I am concerned about him. Can you be tested anywhere for the genetic gene for hereditary CP? Can you have your blood drawn at a lab and sent to where ever they do the testing for CP? What info can anyone give me on this. I would bet anything that I have hereditary CP and I wonder if that would help in qualifying me for disability? Thanks. Hope all are pain free at least for today. T.
