Guest guest
Hey all Next time you are told your ultrasound results are normal aks the following questions. Was all of my pancreas veiwable in the ultrasound? After Cassie's last ultrasound her pcp told me that they could not see any of the head at all but ber altrsound was normal. When I ask " if you cant see all her pancreas how do you know its " normal " ? He didn't know how to reply and after a minute he said I guess we can't say for sure it's normal. After looking at past ultra sound results and seeing that the head was not visable in any of the ultrasounds they had done I brought this up last Monday to her GI. He said that I was right they can't say and that the only way to know for sure was ERCP or other invasive procedures. I also want to mention that when you are pregnant ultrasounds are approx 23% correct, the other 77% of results are wrong. Now they do preganancy ultrasounds by the thousands everyday with those poor results, how much experience and accuaracy do you think they have looking at the pancreas? In every ultrasound Cassie has every had it shows one kidney significantly smaller than the other. They say its a machine glitch. Doesnt give one much confidence in these procedures now does it? .
