Guest guest
If you need enzymes to go down a G-tube, you need to have a special enzyme called Viocase which comes in a powder form. It is mixed up with water and sucked up into a syringe and then put into the G-tube. Applesauce would definately not be recommended for a G-tube as it is way, way to thick. I have heard of a few people on this list that have actually used regular enzymes but I would not recommend this. Those little beads are difficult to deal with as is, forget trying to shove them down a tube. Viocase is definately the way to go. Guest guest
To send enzymes thru the g-tube you use a powdered enzyme like VioKase and water. regular enzyme beads would get stuck in the tube and damage the g-tube (or so I was told) Does anyone know the recipie for enzymes down the G-tube? Isn't it applesauce and formula?
