Hi Louie, I wasn't a diabetic when I had my surgery. As far as I know a

person having the pancreatectomy and islet cell transplant should not be a

diabetic. I just think that you should not make the decision to have the

pancreatectomy by yourself. I think you need to speak with a surgeon who does

the

pancreatectomy and ISLET CELL TRANSPLANT so you can know all of your options.
