Guest guest
Yes Grammy, I just saw this about chocolate So I now know the honey mints I've been giving him from allergygrocer.com are illegal too! Maybe that's why we haven't seen die off? Tell me though, could I make these " brownies " with another nut butter (son highly IgE peanut allergic) and make two batches in round cake pans and layer them with some type of honey icing between? Anyone tried this? I'm trying to get a dark brown look to the cake. I am very low on ingredients right now and can't experiment too much till I internet order some more nut flours and butters so I'd like a tried and true idea if possible. I have one jar of cashew macadamia Marantha butter and a few cups of Digestive Wellness almond flour left. The birthday party is Saturday- so one week to figure this out! Guest guest
Pecan flour/butter makes dark brown baked goods. There are a couple of pecan flour cakes on the SCD recipes site. http://www.scdrecipe.com/recipes.html I haven't made them, but I have made Mixed Nut Flat bread with pecan flour and it was quite dark. , mom to
Guest guest
I found this quote on scdrecipe.com under a muffin recipe. Link goes to muffin recipe. -- I just made some muffins that remind me of chocolate muffins in look and taste. Pecan flour when cooked reminds me of chocolate Enjoy -Monika http://www.scdrecipe.com/recipes/r_029_00435.php
