Guest guest
What wonderful news. I am sure some others will feel that way too. I sure wish they would show the other companies how its done. We deal with so many here & many are really eggheads--or maybe its the people they hire & don't train to well -----Best wishes to you LOVE & HUGS, grandmomBEv Re: HMO Hell--Millitary Style Just want ya'll to know, not all HMO's are hell. We are on an HMO and have had very good luck. They have taken care of everything we've needed for JC so far. Angie P. Guest guest
I too had problems with an HMO when my daughter was little, we could not go to a CF center and she spent about 3 years sick. It is so hard to deal with a sick child and fight the insurance companies at the same time. And then when she is well I don't want to think about calling about the bills. I used to just let them set till they went to collections because I was to tired to fight them. Now she is an adult (19) and she can't get any other coverage except ours. I have called every number I can find in Delaware and they always send me somewhere else, so I have given up. And now she has to do it all because of the new privacy act and she wont. I did turn in a Dr. to an ethic's committee and they dismissed him from the board he was on, don't know if it was me or others that also complained. And as for taking your own things to the hospital, my daughter takes her pillow, blanket, music, stuffed animals (can't sleep without Ben) and I and others bring her lunch and dinner everyday. The food in the hospital is not enough for her and not like I make for her, we always have a truckload to bring home but its worth it. She is happy and at peace during those 2 weeks. I hope that you find out something at the sleep clinic. judy > > > > ------------------------------------------- > The opinions and information exchanged on this list should IN NO WAY > be construed as medical advice. > > PLEASE CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN BEFORE CHANGING ANY MEDICATIONS OR TREATMENTS. > > ------------------------------------ > > >
Guest guest
Hi Judy, Reading your post made me stop and count my blessings. Zach has only been diagnosed for 2 months. I can only imagine dealing with this for 3 years. Sara > I too had problems with an HMO when my daughter was little, we could not go to a CF center and she spent about 3 years sick.
