Guest guest
Typing out loud again: I just got to thinking about this, and, well. . . . . .. . . . . . . . Well, when my husband-to-be-proposed to me and I accepted, I felt that he should know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about cystic fibrosis, so I wrote him a 13-page letter and divulged all, and I do mean ALL. I had terrible handwriting, so he glanced over the thing, and just thought nothing of this gibberish and we got married, I thinking that I had divulged the HORRID TRUTH, he assuming that he had mis sed nothing whatsoever. And then the fun began, culminating in the dia gnosis of his nephew with cf, and our third child wcf. About ten years after we were married I did ask him how he had re-acted to the letter I had sent him, and he blushed, coughed in his bass voice, shuffled a bit and confessed all. So, that's how we UNhandled it all! Love to all in this journey to somewhere other than what we had antici pated in life with the beloved partner--who in my case, was magnificent! n Rojas, wcf, CFRD
