Guest guest
Hi , Welcome! I am so glad that you found this group. It has truly been a blessing to me and I have learned more here than from any doctor. A lot of people have been dealing with cp for years and have very helpful information. You said you have been dealing with cp for a few years and you can't get any doctors to do anything for you. They tell you to call when the pain is unbearable and they will admit you, but do they give you pain meds to take at home? Are you taking any enzymes? If you tell us where you live there might be someone who could recommend a good GI in your area. Feel free to post your specific questions here, everyone is great. I hope you are feeling better soon. Sending lots of happy thoughts your way.... Marisa~San Diego, CA

Guest guest
Welcome Denice, I am glad that you found this web site. What you are sharing is very common among many people. It is impossible for anyone to comment about the hospital or your healthcare provider because we just don't have all the facts. But, we do hear how you are feeling, that is important. Please share more of your story, on a personal level. Where do you live? What does your health care regimen consists of at this time? Who is on your care plan team? Do you have insurance? How are you managing your pain? These are a lot of questions, but talking about them will begin to empower you in managing your disease. There are many, many choices available. I don't spend much time worrying about what someone or something did to me. What is important is how I respond to what is happening to me. Right now, Pancreatitis is quickly taking away the quality of my life. I wasn't being given many options through my local health care team to change the course of events. Therefore, I searched out further options and am currently pursuing a living donor pancreas transplant, compliments of my father. You are on the right path by taking responsibility and searching out support and options. We are glad you are here. In Joy & Light. Karyn E. , RN Exec. Director, PAI Indianapolis, IN The PAI serves as a means of support, information, and advocacy. The PAI cannot offer medical advice or direction nor substitute for your health care provider.
