Thanks for all the tips, I am doing better with eating but still nauses most

of the time anyone else find this a problem? I had my suergery on Dec 3rd so

out now for 2 weeks post op; I still find it hard to eat much and drink much

but I am trying to do my best I can. I know its really important to drink

alot but its really hard to get alot down. I am lucky to get 3 cups a day. I

thank all of you for all the tips and help though the rough times; when you

ask yourself why have i done this but I know in the long run I had no choice

in my case so I know it will get better in time. Ok well I have to cut this

short still have problems with sitting; butt still numb.

Dee Dee, 3 cups of water a day sounds bad. I've been able to (forcing it)

get 8 cups a day from the beginning. I have to walk around holding a glass

most of the time. Where I go, my water goes. It's the only way I can make

sure I get enough. Of course, being nauseated I'm sure makes it hard. When

I went home from the hospital, I had a RX for an anti-nausea pill. This

doctor routinely prescribes this for after surgery. Do you take anything?

If not, maybe you'd better call the doctor's office and see what they say.

For the first 10 weeks everything hurt to eat. I could not stand to eat

period. I did because I had to but I never wanted to. Then it got better.

I still do not do well with anything that is mainly carbs. But the protein

and vegs are going down fine finally. It will change for you as well

eventually.

Diane,

You are doing great! Just do whatever you can do. That is all you

can do right now. It's important to rest, drink and rest again.

Don't worry about eating so much. It all will fall into place at

it's own pace. No pressure.

I had some slight nausea from time to time, but I wasn't eating

much. only a bite here and there just to get something in. You will

be fine. REmember, you just had major surgery just 2 weeks ago. My

doc doesn't recommend we have food until after 10-14 days and it was

soft mushy stuff. I couldn't tolerate it much but managed what I

could.

Take it slow,
