Guest guest
Mandy, thanks for noticing. I'd thought I really hadn't lost for awhile, but guess I did! Did you and the food get along during vacation? I can't believe how close you are to your goal! When was your surgery? I'm exhausted with family gatherings, and I got to prepare all the fattening stuff. But I didn't even lick a spoon. Christmas day will be easier. My son-in-law made the menu, roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggie, salad, rolls. Very easy. He's tired of turkey and ham. Tomorrow is my husband's side the family gathering.....all 20 of us. I'm so tired tonight, I don't even care about going, but that will change by the morning. Worked non-stop today from 9:00 - 7:00. Got lots done, but I have such a bad headache. I seem to set myself up thinking everything has to be done. Gotta watch it! Guest guest
Christmas is exhausting all the way around. I agree. Only a hand full of days left, lol, thank goodness. The emotional stress kills a small part of me, me every year. Am glad I was able to step away from it, this mind you, a thought in retrospect, coming from the whinny kid who wrote letters of protestation only days before the trip.. Once we arrived at our destination, so too, the angst of leaving my safety zone fast faded. I ended up having a good time. ok ok, I did gain weight on my Vacation. Of course I did. No biggy. Some of it water weight and too, I ate more than I do at home, mainly protein meals. It will slide off ... fast.. once I buckle down. As to your question regarding .... " when " ... six year ago when I turned 40... during which time I have hit my goal MANY times .... ( by jumping up and down on the scale, then shifting my weight forward which takes off about TWO POUNDS hehehehehe ) ....but, as I shared with you earlier Joan, I do tend to hoover between the mid 140's to lowish 150's which is respectable for my height .....5'8 " . 126 is the dream. Everyone needs a dream .. Am so proud of your continued successes .. .. your resolve... and and and.... I have missed your morning letters so much ... yours and the rest of my gastric buds. a quick yippeeeeeeeeee yahoooo to my beloved Wolfy girl... plateaus are a pain in the heini for sure... am glad you past one of yours!!! Guest guest
Mandy, Christmas time I envy the guys in my family. They don't plan, they don't shop, they don't cool, they don't clean! Maybe they're the smart ones?? I didn't realize that you are at your goal!!!!!!!! 148# is on the slim side at 5'8 " . You've done good! I'm 5'5 " and hope to get to 140#. The doctors office seems on the high side when they said 175-180. It's wonderful to hear of someone that had this surgery 6 years ago, and doing great. Gives me hope, which I need. Darn, my scale doesn't give at all. I have to put one hand on the counter to make it move!!!
