I would like to hear from folks that had surgery about the same time

I did and compare my diet and weight loss to theirs. (or from those

who remember what they ate and their weight loss at 5 wks out) I

realize everyone is different, I would just like to have an idea how

others are doing and what their eating. My surgery was 11/11/03.

I've lost 29 lbs. I'm not losing as fast as I'd like, but I think

it's because I haven't been walking like I should. This is a

typical day for me.

Morning: Glass of orange juice first thing. Then maybe 1/2 hour or

so later, scrambled egg with salsa or refried beans and cheese and

salsa. (not a big egg eater!)

Lunch: 1/2 can Wolf Gang Puck Chicken Tortilla soup. (very good)

Supper: Baked Tilapia or chicken with green beans. Sometimes turkey

chilli.

I may snack on some cheese or lowfat, low salt peanut butter on a

couple of crackers. I also struggle to get in enough fluids. I get

tired of water all the time and drink a lot of decaf iced tea

sweetened with Splenda.

Please share your experiences with me.

One more thing, I would like to try some sugarfree gum, but I'm

terrified of accidently swallowing it. I haven't read or heard

anything about it, I just assume that my pouch couldn't handle gum.

Yea, I know what it means to assume.

Thank you!
