Guest guest
My husband has had 3 ERCP's and a surgery. I was told that it was standard proceedure that each time they went into the pancreas that they would do a brushing or a biopsy. I was told that on the first ERCP. They just recommended the Whipple and I took him for a second opinion to Dr. Brunicardi in Houston. He said he did not think he needed it at this time and wondered why there had been no brushings taken and wants another ERCP done with brushings. What has everyone else's experience been with ERCP's and surgery? Are brushings or biopsy's standard? I just would like to know what type of care we have gotten. As it stands now, I am changing doctors as I have lost faith in this one. Becky in Texas
