Dear All,

In May 26 edition of TIME (Europe Edition), I came across a research on

plant-based drugs. There are many biotech companies who are doing research

on genetically engineered crops. They are looking for many things from fruit

based hepatitis vaccines to AIDS drugs grown in tobacco leaves! As per the

TIME article: " Clinical trials have begun for experimental crop-grown drugs

(Corn to be specific) to treat Cystic Fibrosis "

Of course all these things are experimental yet and environmentalists are

skeptical about this " biopharming " , it may produce a wonder cure for this

nasty decease....

I would love to have comments....
