I think that we begin to think we can slip into that " Safe mode " and not remembering the surgery is a tool. Not a cure all for being overweight. We have to learn to permanantly stop putting the spotlight on food like it is some sort of " DRUG " for our security and safe zone. The very thing we ran to that made us obese is the very thing we have to now run from in a sense. We simply have to learn self control and stop putting so much importance on the foods we think we just have to have. Eating properly and with control is the aids to work with the surgery tool of wls that we undertook. I know as for myself I am looking into outside activities such as getting a bike, bowling, etc. Staying in the house and up under the food more than we should is not a good thing if we found comfort in it before. Look at the old habits of eating as a foe and move on. If everytime we sat down to eat when we know we shouldn't and had to make a conscious effort to sit in front of a mirror and watch ourselves then maybe just maybe we would be more aware of the person looking back at us. Worth a try. God Bless and Skinny Wishes.
