Guest guest
Thanks to Lenora and Allel? for the encouragement. I have heard about the modifiers (that's the explanation given by our docs) I just wanted to hear from some who had the same CF mutations as Abby. I can somehow read the messages on the board now so I must have accidentally pressed the right button.?--- I don't want to sound pessimistic at all. We are learning that this info stuff can be a slippery slope. The most important thing is having a positive setting for our family. We are just starting this and want to get the basics straight. I believe once we get a decent hold on them, we'll feel better. We don't want this to rule our lives or rob our joy. Our children are doing great and we want that to continue. I am going to get my wife on this site so she can participate. She stays at home with our 2 youngest, including Abby (and 2yrold Chloe) and I'm a farmer who is about to get very busy. Her name is Kathy and she definitely struggles with being tied down here. Our 2-yr-old had hip dysplasia and was in a body cast for 3 mos. and a brace for 6 wks. (corrected and running around now)while Kathy was on bedrest during her preg. w/ Abby. She's been tied down for a while but is a very hard worker and a strong and devoted mom. She can't seem to find decent help to help clean or keep kids - even while she's here. Our families are into their own thing though we occasionally get a night out. Thanks for ll the responses.
