Guest guest
Hiya everyone, Could someone please describe to me, albeit it may sound simplistic enough to you, why one is not suppose to drink when they eat? I never understood this, and to be quite honest, I have to drink - all the time - it's how thirsty I am. In fact, I'd not be surprised if most of my hunger was really thirst. But I'm appreciative of the help. (BTW, my doctor is relocated in land, so I dropped him. Long time ago though - mainly because of his snob of a nurse. She and he are no help when it comes to answering questions - never returned calls - etc.) Thank you ahead of time. Take care, be well, much love! Sincerely, ~*~**~ /Seta/Anneia/Ari ~**~*~ ~ those who are different change the world those who are the same keep it that way ~ Thank you to " Master Akane " for allowing me to use this quote in my signature. I am not aware of who the originating author is. But it's too true to pass up. It's how I feel as well. Guest guest
As it was explained to me....if you have liquid in your pouch and then eat, the foods is softened more and with all the liquid it just runs out and dumps into the intestines. Also if you eat, and then drink, the food fills the pouch, then the liquid can't enter the pouch. I've heard varying amount of times, but the last I was told was 20 minutes. I thought this would be the hardest part of changing my eating, but it has been pretty simple for me. I'm not sure if I've described the process well, but that's what I remember. I bet there's something on the GBS that explains this. I'll have to look. Guest guest
If you eat and drink at the same time the drinking will 1. wash the food out to fast and you wont get the value of the protein, and 2. it can make the food float making you sick as well as making you full to fast. You are to stop drinking 30 min before and wait 30 min after the last bite to drink again. If I need to drink during I eat 1 or 2 grapes or a slice of tomato or cucumber and it it keeps me from having to drink. So im not " cheating " by drinking! Try it it might help you also. Guest guest
well from what my doctor just told me it is because they want you to get use to eating and drinking will fill you up. so they rather you get your nutrients through the food that you eat... you wont be able to eat that much in the beginning anyway so just eat what you can and then pull back give it some time to digest then eat again later... remember we are suppose to eat 4- 6 times a day....in between the eating we drink so that we do not become dehydrated... also.. when taking in liquids... try soups that way you can still get some nutrients from the broth. > Hiya everyone, > > Could someone please describe to me, albeit it may sound simplistic enough to > you, why one is not suppose to drink when they eat?
