BSSO is Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy; Bilateral, meaning both sides of the lower jaw. Sagittal is the direction of the split in the jaw -- they make a cut at the back, then tease the jaw apart, so that it can slide forward along itself to gain the length, and then be fixed with three little screws on each side (or sometimes with a plate or two; Osteotomy means cutting the bone. Lefort I Maxillary Impaction is descriptive of the cuts made to raise the upper jaw. Malocclusion Class II is, essentially, an overbite. Long face syndrome is essentially a descriptive term, characterising a particular group of disorders in which the face is unusually long. Right, ?
