Guest guest
how you doing people... i just wanted to introduce myself as a new member to this group. I am a post-op (12/16/03) who is trying to get myself use to this new life. im a 28 year old male from brooklyn NY who is basically in my second week of recovery. I had open surgery and i will tell you I definitely had some pain but it is remarkable how fast the human body heals itself... i sit here sometimes and can feel myself healing and every morning i wait up i feel so much better than i did the previous day. food wise, i was doing pretty well my first week... i wasnt even hungry... then the second week i was doing a feeling a little more hungry... but it was still very much managable... until..... christmas... i mean my family cooked such good food.. i was in a state of shock cuz i couldnt eat any but i made it through with my soup and water and now i cant wait till im allowed to take in my first taste of solid food. Which my DR. has given me the go ahead to do on monday. i had the surgery because i was diagnosed with sleep apnea and on the day of surgery i was told that my surgar level was slightly high at 124... so i am happy to have had this done before i caused my body too much damage and to give myself a chance to live a long productive life. anyway HELLO EVERYONE!! Guest guest
Hi, I'm so thankful for you having the surgery, as you say " before i caused my body too much damage and to give myself a chance to live a long productive life.
