Guest guest
Allan, initially, you are not to have caffiene at all, due to the diuretic effect! You are only getting in so much liquid, that you need to hold on to, so as not to get dehydrated. You will be allowed caffiene at a later stage in the process..Hope this helps, sherri caffiene > What is about caffeine that bypass patients can not have it? > > > > Allan > Lap Rny > 12-15-03 > 312 / 245 / ? > > > --- > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.576 / Virus Database: 365 - Release Date: 1/30/2004 > >

Guest guest
Now when I had surgery, 10/31/03, I decided to also kick the caffeine habit for good and have not had any soda or caffienated coffee or tea. I do on occasion have hot chocolate which I believe has a tad of caffeine due to the cocoa. It was just a choice of mine....I have always be a iced tea drinker with meals, but since I can't drink with meals at all....that issue was taken care of. Not much choice out in the restaurant world, but nothing better than water if I truly need something to drink. Plus I try to bring either Crystal Lite or Propel with me if I want something with flavor. Not sure if my ramblings have helped....
