Hi ya'll,

I wanted to thank you for the good wishes! They are very much

appreciated. I want to say that although I have decided to retire to

the sidelines and become more of a spectator of sorts, please know

that I will continue to monitor both boards and I will post when I

feel I can be of some help.

I also want to let you all know that I survived " Trash Disco " on

Sunday. It was so good to see everyone after being " MIA " for three

months. Everyone was happy that my surgery went well and very

complimentary about the results.

had written that she was afraid to ask what " Trash Disco " was.

So here goes. For years now, every Sunday at 4PM, this bar in the

French Quarter, named " Cafe Lafitte's In Exile " has " Trash Disco " !

It's their version of happy hour and the DJ (who happens to be a

friend of mine) plays videos of old disco and dance favorites, not to

mention a bevy of campy video clips and one of my favorites, a dance

mix video of Petula singing " Downtown " . Basically, it's lots

of locals and many familiar faces having a big sing-along, with some

choreography and lots of fun and laughs. And Cammie, it's all done

without DEET . . . lol!!!
