Yep, I have the crippled hand disease. Wish it had stayed in the hands

but NOOO. I had to get it in my knees, hips, feet, lower back. I think

if I could get it in my head, it would be there too. Actually mine has

improved since I started loosing weight. My first line of defense is my

wonderful chiropractor. I then take liquid Tylenol and on a rare

occasion, ibuprofen. I have only done the ibuprofen 5 or 6 times in 20

months.

I have days when my hands do not work. The osteoarthritis was not diagnosed

til after surgery, but the damage was there. The rheumatologist says my

obesity had nothing whatsoever to do with it, but it is genetic. Amazing.

He agreed with me that the OA was there for a long time, and that the

obesity hid it. You know, " You hurt because you're fat. " ? Yeah, that one.

My OA exactly mimics my dad's, who never was more than kinda chunky. At

least the neck & feet. His hands at 85 work better than mine, though.

I suspect I may have what is called trigger thumb (more commonly it's trigger

finger). Wondering if anyone knows anything about this condition and the

treatment..........
