Guest guest
, what kind of surg did you have that you are 12 wks post-op and have 13 bands on? I am thinking of my own face right now and can't imagine where they would all go, but I have a very small mouth, so I am not the average case. My nose did change post-op, he picked up the end a bit and the nostrils, changed but not enough for anyone else to notice...I had a deviated sep and lots of pollips too, so he did a lot in there aside from upper and genio. I am TA-DA, 5 wks post op today...and happy. I've been doing very well, last week was a TOUGH one, 3 days back to work, then the weekend and a loved one got very ill, she's an elder, so I am her walking medical history. Had to talk and talk and talk last week and on Sat...I poufed up. I had pain, lots last week, this week some still, but am really being careful of how I sleep, how much I talk and when I take pain killers to take the edge off. I started having feeling bk early on, so while that's great! It's not so great to feel what many are still numb for, but overall, happy, my upper lip is cooperating with talking and smiling more now and I feel normal...Heck, I can't wait to get a hair cut, some new duds and struct this smile good luck and remember if you're still in process-things may still change some, so don't do anything drastic until you're DONE healing good luck JO > Has anyone ever thought of or had a correction to their nostrils > after upper jaw surgery? Guest guest
Hi Jo, I had upper, lower, genio and slight widening of upper roof. The 13 bands are all packed in there. my bite is touching on left, but still not there on right, JUST about touching, but after i eat it doesn't. i feel like i am going to where them forever. i am DONE with the on off, on off, on off....it's tough with the maintenance and a very tight teaching schedule. i think my one year old has about had it to with how often mom has to run to the bathroom or any mirror to " do her teeth! " . > > Has anyone ever thought of or had a correction to their nostrils > > after upper jaw surgery?
