Guest guest
Hi JJ.........CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I know just what an accomplishment this is.......mostly just because I am incredible jealous. I have always had dreams of running.......but one thing held me back........this is going to sound stupid, but I was wondering if anyone had any insight on this. Does 'running' irritate, upset, or bother a womans insides........I read an article when I was a teenager (many moons ago) that said woman shouldn't run due to their female parts.......it was too much on them.....has anyone ever heard of this?? P. I did it > Just wanted to pass on to my buddies: > I just finished a Polar Bear 5K here in WNY. I finished 2nd in my age > group.... and was also dead last! Guest guest
>>>I have always had dreams of running.......but one thing held me back........this is going to sound stupid, but I was wondering if anyone had any insight on this. Does 'running' irritate, upset, or bother a woman's insides........I read an article when I was a teenager (many moons ago) that said woman shouldn't run due to their female parts.......it was too much on em.....has anyone ever heard of this?? P.<<< Only thing I can think of is that was probably written before the age of sport bras/mega support sports bras -- now we have them, now we run. If other areas are in need of support (and I would imagine this would hold for guys too) there is so much spandex available for all the 1001 body parts that might take a beating from running or being really active if they are not held in place securely... I think it is safe to say... run if it feels great and if anything is bouncing, secure it. (Hope I said that in a " nice " way ;-)) hugz, ~denise
