Guest guest
Hi Jennette, you wrote: " The drawbacks are you end up with this light sandpaper feeling on your face. 30 minutes after I apply the disk, I spray my face lightly with water and brush the gritty stuff off. If I do not use water it kind of hurts to brush it off. " I also use the disks & have experienced what you describe. What I do is this: 1.) Wash w/ Alveeno Baby Cleanser, rinse & leave my face wet. If I think I need it, I apply 1-2 droplets of vita-oil or jojoba oil to my wet face. 2.) QUICKLY " dot " the disk all over my face (act like you are daubing a bingo card, don't rub as the instructions say to do), starting from the top down. 3.) Let my face air dry. 4.) If I feel grittiness after my face dries, I wet my hands & lightly tap the gritty areas on my face, then quickly blot those areas with a towel. I do this lightly so as to leave some medication behind. My theory is that gravity pulls the residue from the cea Disks down to the jawline, so that you will find gritty concentrations of the medication on the lower parts of your face. I have found my jawline to be " scratchy/gritty " with residue when I didn't even apply the disk to that area. Thus, I can only conclude that the water on your face is dragging the minerals downward. Contrary to the instructions with the disks, I do not " brush off the residue with a towel " , as it is irritating to do that, like you said.
