Guest guest
GO for it! Been there, 5 wks post-op yesterday. And not so bad at all, there's moments sure...but looking back not so bad at-all.... the insomnia got me good...but I learned that was the tylenol and codeine...stopped it and slept! I had upper (a big move) and genio...I swelled but no brusing, except a little like bags under the eyes, but nothing shocking or intense. I was in the hosp 3 days...surg mon and then went home wed...to eb safe. I also had sinus issues, dev septum adn pollups-which I didn't know until he went in and he fixed it all...tricky first week or tow to heal, with the -pardon-mucus, but there's ways to deal with that too and so I did. But I am so happy I did it...when I don't think I look so diff, I check an old pic and say WOW, I sure do look diff- still me, but less gummy for sure and better profile and heck, BETTTER BITE! woo-hoo!that's why I did this, not the cosmetic side. I was back to work 3.5 wks...bec I am a recruiter and talk for a living, so extra cautious...and I was OPEN unexpectidly at wk 3...nice! One other thing, I dont' like shakes much, so I just got out the blender and blended EVERYTHING from chicken cutlets with turk gravy to stuffed peppers to veggies, even EGGROLLS and salad and all was TASTY! so think out of the box....and stock up on fat-slurpy 7-11 type straws... good luck and if you need recipes, just ask! Guest guest
I would say 99.99999% positive...any surgery or undertaking like this will have a moment or two and when I think about what I actually had done to my body and how I recovered...I feel good, proud, strong, and thankful that I had the help I needed from my drs to fiance, to family to a GREAT blender!! > > > I am about to go through orthognatic surgery in 2 months and > wanted > > > any insight anyone could give me.
