Wal-Mart has the Pure Delite (No > white chocolate, they say they'll get them but never have) for .96>>>>>> I have to agree that the sugar free candy has been a powerful tool for me. I buy the sugar free peppermint patties by Stover and the Pure De-Lite Dark Chocolate bar, both at Wal Mart. The Pure DeLite bars are 96 cents vs the Ross bars at CVS for $1.49, but in a pinch I have bought the Ross bars and they are fantastic. The Ross bars come in a wide variety of gourmet flavors that the Pure DeLites do not. When I first discovered them I ate too many and worried that they would sabotage my weight loss. Over time what they have done for me is give me total control over other candy. I used to be tempted at check outs by the candy rack, now I NEVER consider buying a candy bar cause I know that I can have one of the sf ones as often as I want. Knowing that I can have them whenever I want, that there is a generous supply in the freezer just for me, has taken away all their power over me and I hardly even want them anymore. Guest guest
Yep, heard of it and tried it. My big thing is that I usually don't even think about it when I eat it. So if I am not thinking, how in the blue blazes am I going to remember sugar free? Automatic pilot really does stink sometimes. Lori Owen - Denton, Texas CHF 4/14/01 479 lbs. SRVG 7/16/01 401 lbs. Guest guest
Well I don't know about BEST -- I'm part Swiss and grew up on Lindt and Tobler -- but they are really good, and I buy those and the Doctor's ones fairly frequently. The only thing I have to remember is that maltitol and other sugar alcohols do have that " laxative effect " on me, so while I almost always keep a couple of these in a drawer, before I eat one, I have to think, " What will I be doing 3-4 hours from now or tomorrow morning? " Sometimes the urge for chocolate passes altogether when I put it in that perspective. But then, dumping has the same effect, so it keeps me from indulging in the real stuff too. Suagr free cookies apparently cause me to become stupid, because I DON'T remember what they are going to do to me, and eat WAY too many of them! ~~ Lyn G > The best candy bar I've ever put in my mouth was a Ross Sugar free, low carb White > > Chocolate candy bar.. It is truly an addictive product for me physically, and sugar free products do nothing for the addiction (kind of like eating candy cigarrettes for your nicotine addiction). And I believe that often my sugar eating is a form of rebellion. It's unfortunate recognizing the problem does not immediately make it go away!!
