From the replies I've received, I've noticed that if you have severe acne,

it doesn't help much. I never have broke out from it. I had almost

immediate results after using Gold Bond extra strength medicated lotion for

itchy skin (green bottle, red cap). Most of my symptoms were gone within

about a week. Before I started using Gold Bond, my skin varied. In some

places, it was oily and red with small pimple like bumps and in other places

it was red, dry and flaky. Gold Bond solved all the problem. The areas

affected were my forehead, eyebrow area, nose, cheeks, above my upper lip,

chin and cheeks close to my ears. All areas were not affected at the same

time. I even had some red spots in center of my chest. I don't have any

symptoms as long as I use Gold Bond.

Mike:

I think the reason Gold Bond helped you is that you don't suffer from

rosacea at all. I have found Gold Bond really helps with inflammation

due to sunburn or contact dermatitis, but makes all my rosacea

symptoms worse.

I suspect you have eczema or a related condition.

I want to say that Gold Bond is not making my rosacea worse, in fact the

pores look smaller and cleaner than they have in a long time. I am waiting

to see if Gold Bond will take the redness away. I have never had acne, by

the way.

Mike:

Thank you so much for trying not to be sarcastic. I'm not sure my

southern belle sensitivity could tolerate it.

I was not playing doctor, merely making a politely written comment. My

understanding is that's the very point of this group. Am I wrong?

You seem to take it very personally whenever your assertion that Gold

Bond is the second coming for rosaceans is questioned: Why is that?

You don't make this stuff do you?

As for your quotes from satisfied customers of yours, I mean Gold

Bond's, I have encountered this phenomenon many times: Someone makes a

suggestion, many people try it and report improvement, then nothing is

heard about it again. I suspect this is because the improvement was

purely coincidental and part of the normal rosacea cycle. Where are

all the glowing recommendations from NEW users?

In summary, I think next time you push Gold Bond, I'll buy shares in

the company. But I'll be sure to sell them within a few weeks when

reality sets in.

I have been using Gold Bond for about nine days and my skin looks better,

the pores are clean and not so noticeable. I hope this continues and that I

will achieve the same results as Mike. The first of Mike's messages which

I have found is dated February 7, 2002.

Hello, Tom. I bought the Maximum Strength Gold Bond Medicated Anti-Itch

cream with aloe and vitamin E which comes in a 1.25 oz tube. The packaging

is yellow and red. I bought this size just to try, but I know Mike uses the

large green bottle with the red top. I haven't noticed any improvement in

the redness yet, but I am hopeful I will soon. I hope this helps.
