Guest guest
I had upper and genio and when I came out, learned that I also had a deviated sep and lots of bad pollups...fixed evreything and I was and am thankful, except week one into 2 with your mouth closed makes for a tricky heal...the mucus and all. Not to be gross, but it can't be blown out-4 wks NO nose blowing, and you can't well I couldn't " suck it down " that makes me gag...so onto that blue squeezy ball for babies, qtips by the 1000s and spray decongestants, humidifier, and so on. One nt I coughed SO hard, I woke up with my bands all hanging out and off...that was the hardest nt...I am still so glad it's done though...bec I wouldn't want to just do that later, and now this mouth breater-----life long too---I breath through my nose often...awake and sleeping too So go for it, prepare with your nose aids and hang in there...it's not too bad and worth it. Good luck, JO > > I've never thought about it until now, but then again, I never > > thought about jaw surgery or braces until every professional I > went > > to told me I needed both or my teeth would fall out in 20 years - > I > > may have a deviated septum that is affecting my breathing and my > > voice.
