Guest guest
Thanks for the support. Wow, Kat is back here too. This is almost like 2 years ago. Yes, Irish- I remember having plenty of energy for showers & yet passing out on the x-ray man (he still grins at me & asks how I'm doing everytime I'm up there). Big difference this time due to I couldn't get enough liquids in me last time so after a few days my body just went kaput. My tongue would try to swallow something & instead it would just flow right out the sides of my mouth. But since it is still in it's new postion with nothing having been moved around, it works just fine. I drank out of a cup right away. And I ate tuna & noodles tonight. (I did blend stuff the first few days - I actually missed some of my smoothies & recipes from the last time- heh, heh) I popped my head in at work today to say hi & I'm supposed to attend classes with everyone else this Thursday & Friday in our sister office. So only a week plus one day this time compared with 4 full weeks last time & I could of used more due to my sleeping dysfunction that I developed due to the anethesia. Hey, did you get that allar base cinching (spelling?) when you had either one of your surgeries? I did this time & had a stuffed up nose for 2 days. I didn't have much of a problem with that the first time & wondered if the ones who had that done were more likely to have the nasal congestion. Okay, well, thanks everyone for the hopes & wishes that I don't have arnie's jaws when this is over. (I'll bet they put cushions out when you go for xrays) > > > > Hi Irish, Fiddlesticks, & Cammie & anyone else I already know. > > > > > > > > Just wanted to give an update to say that the swelling has > gone > > > down > > > > immensely since last night. Guest guest
Hey Georgia! So glad to read you are up and around much faster than last time. No, I will truly never forget the story of you fainting in xray and the nurse romantically catching you as you so gracefully fell into his arms. Ha! That's awesome you see him from time to time and that he remembers you (now, how could he really forget?). So great you could tackle tuna and noodles already! Way to go! Ok, maybe I've been away too long but I don't think I even know what an allar base cinching is! I'm so sorry! Let me know and I'll tell you if I had it! Lastly, a question for you ... what made you decide on the hardware removal? Did you get everything removed? I've been fortunate that no nuts and bolts have bothered me thus far bit it does freak me to know it's all in there if I get thinking about it too long. I know titanium is safe, but I've never been too comfortable having screws that close to my eyes! Continued good and QUICK healing!
