Guest guest
This is interesting, as Bob is very, very strong...doctor said he thought he would not necessarily lose muscle, and he hasn't. I have thought the leaning must just be more of a neurological symptom, since his strength (hands, arms, legs) has not decreased. Just can't coordinate it all in order to walk, etc. Isn't this just the craziest condition...strong as an ox, but can't walk unassisted or hold one's head straight....but can still open the top of a jar that no one else can budge! Guest guest
Yvonne: My husband,Bob,has been leaning to the right for about a year. He did it when he was sitting in his lift chair, and now in the wheelchair. No matter what we try, it doesn't help. He looks so uncomfortable, but he doesn't have pain from being in that same position for hours. I'm sure it's another symptom of MSA. Guest guest
Yvonne, I do not know a reason why, but this was a problem for my husband as well. We also used pillows at his side and even under him to help provide a more appropriate support for the bottom as well. It appeared to me that he was gradually losing his ability to hold himself up/lack of muscle?. Best wishess to you, Marilyn in TN
