Dear group:

I have heard from a member of the Oregon/Washington group who does not have a

computer and wanted information regarding trachea's, and Shy-Drager and

seizures. Her husband was in the hospital for 3 weeks and they gave him a

trachea and feeding tube and sent him home. She is having some problems

coping. He also is having some seizures. My husband had neither of these

problems and the member who has is on her way to Arizona. Can someone give me

some information I can print out to help her?

Thanks, Judy

Judy,

I searched under tracheostomy:

Here are a couple of sites you might want to print info from (esp. trach

care, suctioning, breathing/speech/swallowing.

http://wellness.ucdavis.edu/general_health/family_practice/tracheostomy/

www.tracheostomy.com

The second site is geared towards children with trachs but there's still

some good, general info.

Hope this helps,

Rose
