Barry, I've not noticed any reactions to the parabens with my skin, but there are several products to which I haven't identified an ingredient yet still cause a reaction; I'm assuming it's clogged pores, but who really knows. I like seeing preservatives among the ingredients in a product since it insures I can safely use them beyond the several week shelf life. Still, I assume anything and everything is a potential sensitizer, esp if present in multiple skin care products that are applied several times a day, no? Marjorie Marjorie Lazoff, MD Yes Marjorie, I guess people generally, and ceans especially, will react to " anything under and including the sun " . Preservatives are " biocides " and it's a matter of trying to choose one which will kill the nasties without harming us too much. Challenging the skin several times a day with a cocktail of different ingredients (including potential penetration enhancers) may not be the best. Brings us back to your suggestion for a nice simple product <g>. Barry
