Hi Jo!

I am 4 weeks post op right now. I do look different now. I am glad I got this

done also. I had

upper shortened and widened and lower advanced. It was a hard recovery cuz I had

to have

blood put back into me cuz I lost so much during my surgery. I bruised pretty

bad. A lot worse

than some of the people I have seen on these groups photos. But the swelling is

going down

every day. I do have some pics from the first week. They are pretty scary

looking. As soon as I

get some other pics (they're developing right now - I do the old fashioned

film!) I will post them.

Hi Mindy,

Great to hear you're doing well!

Tell me about the blood thing---you lost during surg but then bruised

from getting it back? I hadn't known that could happen. Was it YOUR

blood? (not that it would really matter).

I had similar surg, I donated 2X, second time just after I ALMOST

passed out, wish I had-would have been better, but I lost about 6ox

during the 5+hrs in the OR and they gave it back to me, just to be on

the safe side. (made me happy bec I hated to think that if I didn't

use it they would just throw it out when we have a blood

shortage...don't get that).

Fill me in and shh, I use the old film/developing ways too ;) JO
