Guest guest
Patty; I ordered the items you used in your makeup and mixed them then tried applying it dry with a brush. I did not like how it went on, so packed some in a little jar (like a pressed powder) and then applied with a brush and I really like it. I have not added anything to your recipe. If you pack it really tight, you do not get excessive amounts on the brush and it covers nicely. This stuff does not just wash off easily though. Guest guest
Thanks - that is a wonderful idea! Adding talc to the original powder recipe made it perfect and easy to wash off. Mixing it with toleraine moisturizer made a perfect foundation for me. No breakouts, no pH problems, perfect! I knew it would take a lot of trial and error, but I'm so happy I found this solution. I feel my " makeup " is protective and helpful, rather than detrimental to my skin. I want to stress again that I am now almost certain that the use of pure glycerin caused little pimple-like breakouts on my face (remember, I mixed my powder with glycerin and water). A little as an ingredient in a lotion seems fine, but I think pure glycerin is just too much and may not be the proper ph to boot. The powder by itself is good but a little hard to wash off. If you add talc to it (make it about half talc), it becomes a perfect powder - just like store brands-easy to wash off but withouth all the extra added stuff. Just goes to show how it takes weeks to see effects sometimes. Patty > > Hi gang! > > > > I have some updates about the homemade makeup.
