I've been told that it is best to avoid these. <snip> Opinions vary, but parabens are probably one of the safest preservatives around. Because they are safe, they are used in more cosmetic, toiletry and pharmaceutical products than any other preservative. They also cause more reactions than any other preservative - but not if you look at it in proportion to their use rate. ceans are obviously more sensitive to preservatives than other consumers but I suspect this varies from person to person. You can try for other preservatives, or " preservative free " . Does anyone in the group have experience with different preservatives? Unfortunately most products have so much stuff in them that it's almost impossible to pinpoint the preservative as the cause of a reaction.
