Guest guest
-HIYA IRISH- I just caught a few of your posts and thought a would send you a wee one. Firstly how are you? hope you are doing good! I remember you having your first surgery around the same time as mine. I cant believe that was over two years ago! MY HOW TIME DO FLY WHEN YOUR POST OP!!!!!!. Are you far post op from your second surgery, im not sure of when you had it, but remember you mentioning it. i hope your recovering well from it! I was just reading you post about being freaked out about having the hardware in there. I was too until a earlier this year. I had a screw right under my eye socket that i swear was just going to come straight up through my eye - errr makes me shiver -. Fortunately i had them dissolvanle plates and screws and they've really started to settle. Quick question did you have surgery to correct an under bite? if so how do you find cleaning the very back teeth of your lower jaw? having not being used to having teeth that far back i dont really think about them that much. i think having them pigeon ring things over them when i had my train tracks have left plaque there and my regular dentist keeps having a barney at me for nto cleaning them. Do you find that its difficult to get in there? i was trying to clean them the other day and its more the right hand side theres a load of scare tissue and the cheek at this side seems so much tighter when pulling it outwards to get in, i even by accident made an old scar bleed. Its a little sore now and was wondering if you have any tips of cleaning way back there without disturbing the scar tissue? thankyou in advance! Hope your well!!!!!!! Guest guest
Hey Irish: I removed the hardware due to a screw coming up slowly right under my eye socket. I thought it was all freakish too but was willing to forget about them until that one started coming up. That was just too weird for me. And the new doc got everyone except one that he said was along the back of the jaw that would have been too complicated to get out. (embedded in tissue as he put it) I was fine with just having some of the screws & plates removed (equally on both sides) but he said his intention was that if he could see them & get at them easily that he would pull them all out. As for the allar base cinching, seems like it was some sort of special suture to hold the nose in place to keep it from spreading. Seems to work well. I'm happy. And wish I could say this speedy recovery was cause I did everything better this time but I really think it's cause I didn't have any bones broken. So far jaws are looking good. I like my right one better than my left but they are both good. They make me look normal. I think that's all I've ever wanted so I'm very happy with that! Well the winds are picking up so I guess I'd better get offline. The remains of Ivan are blowing through & I live on ground surrounded by pastures at the highest peak in my county. Wheeeeee!!!! Take care, Georgia > > > > > Hi Irish, Fiddlesticks, & Cammie & anyone else I already > know. > > > > > > > > > > Just wanted to give an update to say that the swelling has > > gone > > > > down > > > > > immensely since last night.
