High Levels of Potassium and Liver Function

I got my blood work back and my potassium level and liver function are high.

My PCP told me to cut back on potassium rich foods. What is high in

potassium besides bananas.

He said not to worry about the liver function level. Should I be concerned?

V-8 is a very good source of potassium.

I may need to be corrected on this one, but it's my understand that, with

regard to liver function, all post-WLS patients will always and forever have

higher liver function (whatever) results, i.e. higher than " normal. " I

don't remember where I got this from.

Anyone????

1. I have never heard that.

2. My liver function test results have been normal from the get-go and stayed

normal.

1. I have never heard that.

2. My liver function test results have been normal from the get-go and stayed

normal.

Geeze - I don't know where I got this from then (re: post-WLS will routinely

high-normal liver enzymes), but I swear I got it from someplace " official. "

Oh well, I stand corrected. Wish I could remember why this is liver info is

" set " in my brain ... hope I didn't needlessly alarm anyone.

My liver enzymes are elevated, but my docs don't seem that worried about it.

And, yes, many of " us " have elevated liver enzymes. I take Milk Thistle for

it, as do many others. I'd love to know why this happens, but I don't know

currently. I was following this thread hoping someone would post the answer

as to " why " .

Start: 373lbs Height 5'2 " BMI 70

8/16 Abdominoplasty(-8 lbs)/thigh lipectomy

1/20/03 breast reduction(-6lbs)/rhytidectomy of sides/brachioplasty

2/7/03 - 163 BMI 29.8

total loss - 210 lbs
