I'm there with you, girlfriend!

Open proximal RNY, no food issues, no suger issues, no malabsorption that I

know of (labs are fine). Healthy as a horse (thank God). (But maybe, just

maybe a taddd bit of malabsorption would make my JOB of USING AND MAINTAINING

MY TOOL easier.)

WLS, better eating habits, more exercise, water, protein, blah, blah, blah,

that's my mantra. Nothing in life is EASY!!

Just for faith, I hold onto the thought that even though I'm proximal, there

is always a VERY slight degree of malabsorption (even though my WLS surgeon

said otherwise).

Oh well, (she smiles) I am MUCH healthier than I was 22 months ago! And so

it goes ...

<< It really just comes down to physics. Less in - more out. Take in less

calories than you burn off.

Well, actually there are certain ways around some of this. Low carb eating

for one. My hubby can take in thousands of calories daily and still lose in

insane amount of weight. I had always thought that the " malabsorption " that

we are supposed to have with RNY would do the trick......but apparently

not......for me anyways. I don't see any evidence of there being any

malabsorption for me! >>
