Guest guest
Sorry for the unpleasant topic but......I read in an earlier post that someone thought that their carb intake and gas were related. I had not thought about this....but now that I think about it...it is quite possible for me. My carbs have been a bit out of control lately....and I am definitely having bloating and gas(by the way....at my original weight...I never noticed bloating...now it is painful!). Has anyone else found this to be the case? If it matters....my surgery was an RNY. Kim O

Guest guest
My doctor told me that gas is a form of dumping and is caused by the way we digest carbohydrates. He said it is worse with processed carbs and not as bad for the carbs found in fruits and veggies. If I eat too many carbs, everyone will be able to find out in an hour or so. kimberlyoconnell@... wrote: >Sorry for the unpleasant topic but......I read in an earlier post that >someone thought that their carb intake and gas were related. Guest guest
Kim, I have found both (gas/bloating) to be the case with me. Prior to WLS at 250 I never noticed any " bloating " with my monthly visitor......now I notice it horrible. And as far as the gas.......well, every month for a few days (period related) I feast on sugar....usually my poison of choice is red licorice........the gas I get is unbelievable......I would have never believed that a body could produce THAT much gas!!!!!! P. carbohydrates and gas > Sorry for the unpleasant topic but......I read in an earlier post that > someone thought that their carb intake and gas were related. Guest guest
Refined flour, baked goods, basically any carb that is not found in nature as veggies and fruits are.
