yes.. it makes you feel a bit angry. and if id tell my surgeon he'd

probably think i was just nagging, since everyone says that my nose

isnt much different. (BUT IT IS!!)

its the same thing with me, my nose gets in the way when i smile and

it feels like everyone watches my nose instead of my new and better

smile. i dont think my surgeon would change my nose, cause i dont

think he feels like its a big difference.

do you think anyone has had a nose job as a result of upper jaw

surgery? and did they do it at another clinic?

i am 3.5 months post surgery. way back when i mentioned the wide

nose to my surgeon, he said it was one of the easiest things to

correct. i don't know anyone who has done it though.

Hello everyone!

I had surgery back in March, and my nose was HUGE for the 1st

month.Of course,I was very disheartened and hoped that it would go

down with the swelling. It did,but not much.

I'm now 7-8 mths post-op and am constantly depressed when I look in

the mirror!

I'm Asian and already didn't have a narrow nose to begin with, now

it's even much worse. :(

One side of my nose is now wider than the other,I didn't notice any

asymmetry before surgery. I would be ok with a wide nose, but it's

totally offside! :(

Has anyone else noticed asymmetry after surgery?

My lips are also slightly droopy on one side.

Perhaps we should post the before and after pictures of our noses!

I'll try to do so soon!

Sheryl,

yep - i have a bit of asymmetry after my lower jaw advancement...

once cheek appears to be bigger than the other.. it throws off the

symmetry...

i was perfectly symmetrical before the sugery...

i think most people should realize that when the jaw is moved, no

one can assume they will have perfect asymmetry afterwards, even if

they were symmetrical before...

ironically, my lower jaw advancement made my nose look a bit smaller

since the surgery made my face a bit longer...
