Guest guest
I have a bit of a dilemma on my hands and was hoping for some help or advice. Basically, yesterday I saw my surgeon who told me there would not be enough movement for me to have both my upper jaw moved forward and my lower jaw moved back. He gave me three options, I could either have my upper jaw moved forward (This would also correct my bite which is slightly off centre) OR my lower jaw moved back and I am pretty much ready to have either of these options done. My other option was to have teeth removed from upper set , then at least 9 months more orthodontics and then move both jaws. My problem with this is that this is a lot longer than they had told me and I had planned to travelling in the summer so obviously this would upset those plans, also I have found this treatment really hard going and have been so self concsious for a long time and had problems eating etc - the teeth removal would mean my bite would get even worse than it is and i'm not sure I can face that for almost another year. I was wondering if anyone know's if there is much of a difference between 1 jaw being moved and both being moved or if anyone has been in the same position - any advice or understanding would be so much appreciated! Thanks, Holly _________________________________________________________________ Want to block unwanted pop-ups?
