comment made about women in peoples mag article

hi group.this is lee, hope everyone is doing well, i havent been on in a week

and when logged in this evening saw sues reply on the 3rd to the article

in peoples magazine,,well I am one of the women in the storys, Im on the

first page 137, lauralee turner from moyock nc,, I was speechless for a few

minutes then sorta angry,but then remembered everyone has their own

opinions, you know what they say about opinions,,,anyway sue just to let

you know. I did educate my self on the surgery,I checked the drs out, but

you know some times bad things happen to good people ,first of all for the

article being short, the reason was , it was suppose to be longer but the

fire

that happened in that nightclub where alot of people died, happened and

that took alot of our pages, the story was suppose to be alot longer,

my dr left staple leaks in the first bypass. ulceration occoured and

esclated

in to major weight loss,anemia, ect list goes on but dr kept putting me

off i

found out later why he did will explain later in letter,,went to

naval

hospital for help the drs there did 2 more revisions they didnt know

what

they were doing, ended up being 9 8lbs bed sores on behind , feeding

tube, they were doing one thing and saying something else, finally went

to

another dr and he looked at x rays and cat scans and operative reports

and realized the films didnt match the operative report , the film showed i

had no lower pouch and missing some intestine but operative report didnt

show them doing anything like that, they did over 3 dozen un necessary and

2 major operations on me,, finally went to last surgeon and he did 4th

revision thank god he was a blessing didnt know if id make it thru

that

but i did and now am doing ok, so yes theres alot the story didnt

say,but

with reason the purpose of the story was to make folks aware of the

dangers and this can happen, mostly it dosent but its the 4 like us in

article you dont hear about and then alot of folks who have no or lil

problems with theirs surgery are gonna ridicule the ones who have had

probs.and for the record I did take my protiens and did what i was

suppose too,,,I sued the united sates navy do u think they would of gave

me that settlement for doing nothing,,,we were in court for 6

years..along

time,,,I just think folks really need to learn the facts esp when its

about

someones personal problems before they make comments,, my story with

Wow, Lee! I read your story on the lawyer's site, and thank God

you're doing OK now. Seems like Dr. Sugarman corrects many doctor's

mistakes. Glad you're here to tell us about it.

Sounds like you've been to heck and back. I am sorry this

happened to you and grateful you are still around. I personally don't

like generalities but sometimes they happen. I have also had to learn

not to take them personally (and it takes a lot of tongue biting to not

take it personally.) Glad you replied. Keep up the good work.
